This year's Young Player of the Year started football for Clann na nGael at the tender age of seven and has been a consistent member of all age groups since then. Generally regarded as "The Quiet Man" on the team, he started out making a name for himself as a corner forward. However, his ability to mark, tackle and his reading of the game saw him move to a corner back position and then to full back, where he starred on this year's minor team.

He has always been dedicated to training, and rarely if ever missed training or games for his team. For his commitment at all levels, dedication to training and all round sportsmanship within the club, the Clann na nGael Young Player of the Year for 2000 goes to:
