Clann na nGael

Club Person of the Year - 2001

The dedication of a number of individuals to the Club down through the years has seen Clann na nGael go through some of the most successful periods and of late not so successful.

This year's Club Person of the Year has in recent times spent time and effort to preserve Club ambitions and has become one of the hardest working and valuable Club members. Indeed the success of the GAA as a whole, is without doubt, due to the endeavours of a huge number of individuals and it is fitting that in this Club of ours we are honouring a man that symbolises that unselfish commitment to the GAA and the community as a whole. After a number of years working in the background, at the AGM of 1999 he emerged to take hold of one of the key positions within the Club, as he took on the demanding role of Club Secretary.

His late father was one of the founder members of the Club.

As we look to the future, all we can wish for is that the Club can continue to produce players and workers of the quality of this year's Club Persom of the Year,

Jarlath Nolan
