This year's recipient of the Club Person of the year award has made an enormous contribution to the club over the past year. He has gone about his job quietly and effectively throughout the year.

Following last year's AGM there was an important vacancy as treasurer to be filled. He was asked to fill that post, and he made no hesitation in taking up the position.

His contribution to the most important task of fundraising for the club has been tremendous throughout the year. His work with the weekly Lotto and in securing sponsorship has been second to none.

He has flawlessly managed the running of the club finances throughout the year, and his financial report accounting for approximately €150,000 was testimony to his year's work.
