Ladies Player of the Year - 2008

This year's Ladies Player of the Year has won County Titles at all underage levels and is currently playing great football at adult level. At 15 years of age she was on the team that won County and Connacht Intermediate titles in 2002.

Her jovial character betrays a totally committed player, who never missed a training session, she drove long distances midweek to make as many sessions as possible, and was a constant inspiration to her team-mates. She was also forced to play out of position, in midfield, in order to accommodate the team, always giving her best and got forward to score in most matches.

She also made herself available to help out on Sunday mornings, with the U8 and U10 girls and was a mentor for the U14 girls at the Féile Finals in Cavan last July.

It was a mixture of these attributes, her dedication to her fellow teammates as captain, her versatility and some exceptional performances that ensure that this year's worthy recipient of "Ladies Player of the Year” is

Aisling Curley
