Ladies Young Player of the Year - 2008
This year’s “Young Player of the Year” has
represented the club at Senior, Minor and U-16
football in the past year. Despite her quiet demeanour
on and off the field, this girl has a steely determination and a tremendous
will to win. She is blessed with two good feet, an unrivalled passing ability
and a football intelligence way beyond her years. Not the tallest or most
physically of players, she still managed to pull the strings in midfield at
minor and U-16 level. She was the main free taker on both teams and contributed
2-5 in the U-16 Final, which went a long way to securing this title for the
club.
She is also a very successful soccer player.
With lots of competition for this award in a very
successful year for the Clann na nGael Ladies Club, it is
her positive attitude, her dedication to training, and some great performances
which ensures this years recipient of “Young Player
of the Year” is
