Young Player of the Year

The player chosen for this year's award has represented the club at all levels from under 8, through to under 21. He was a member of under 10, under 12 and under 14 championship winning teams as well as representing the club in the national Féile Peil na nÓg competition in Tyrone. He has also been a member of various school teams with Ardkeenan N.S. and Athlone Community College.

The highlight of his career, so far, came this year when he made his senior championship debut against St. Aidans in Johnstown.

This player's main position is full back, but throughout the year he has also excelled at centre halfback and midfield. He has all the qualities of a top defender: -Tight marking, tough tackling, high fielding and long and accurate clearances.

It is not just his football ability alone that makes him stand out. His attendance at training and matches all year was second to none. His attitude towards his team-mates and trainers is excellent. His commitment and dedication to the Clann na nGael jersey was exemplary throughout the season.
