Welcome to
the Clare Island Lighthouse,
The only Lighthouse in Ireland converted into a country-home.
For more than one and a half centuries,
perched 387ft. above the Atlantic's waves, the squad old Towers guided the sailors to
safety, till the lights were extinguished in 1965.
For three decades long, the Atlantic and natures
forces battered the abandoned buildings.
Now, lovingly
restored and renovated, the old lighthouse has regained it's place in the hearts of Clare
Island, offering the nature-loving visitor strong emotions and hopefully a unique
experience.
