The Enniscorthy region has many famous heritage sites.
The 1798 Visitor Centre tells the story of the 1798 Rebellion and its aftermath
using the latest multi-media and interactive computers. Saint Aidan’s Cathedral, located in the Town
Centre, is the largest Irish church designed by Pugin.
The Fr. Murphy Centre in Boolavogue
has Fr. Murphy’s cottage with farm buildings and machinery from the 18th
century. Nearby is Ferns Castle - an early 13th century
Norman fortification.
Price of €30 includes transport by coach from
Glenalbyn Car Park, entry fees and morning coffee.
