A celebration to mark the conservation of the Dennis Mausoleum Clonberne was hosted by Clonberne Community Development and The Follies Trust in Clonberne Community Centre on 20th Oct 2011 at 12.15. The Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Mr Jimmy Deenihan attended and launched the publication "Clonbern graveyard - its monuments & people".
Family Fun Day 2011
The Family Fun Day 2011 was held on June 5th in Clonberne Community Sportsground. All who attended had an enjoyable day with lots to see and do. This year 2 new events were added to the programme. These were the Dog Show and the Tug O War. These were well attended. The Novelty events, races and Team Building events were also very popular. Thanks to all who helped in any way and also those who attended on the day
Irish Rural Link National Award
Clonberne Community Development recently won 1st place in the Irish Rural Link "National Rural Award to Honour Contributions to Rural Community Development 2011". These awards aim to recognise the hard work, energy, enthusiasm and dedication given to improving and developing local communities around the country. Congratulations and well done to all involved and all those who have given of their time & efforts since the Committee was established.

Community Employment Scheme
The Sponsors of the FÁS Community Employment Scheme (Clonberne Community Development) would like to thank all the participants who worked on the Scheme over the last year. We would also like to thank Martin, the supervisor, and the Committees in Kilkerrin & Clonberne for their assistance. Thanks to all the suppliers and locals who helped in any way. We would like to express our appreciation to FÁS and the staff of the Tuam office for their financial and various forms of assistance with these Schemes. The present Scheme finishes in early June 2012. A new Scheme is expected and we look forward to working with the new Department through the Roscommon office.

The 2011 Car Wash was held in the Clonberne Community Enterprise Centre Car Park on Sat 19th March from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Thanks to all who helped in any way with last years Belarus Charity Car Wash on Sat 6th March at Clonberne Community Enterprise Centre. A special thanks to the Clonberne students in Transition Year in HRC Mountbellew who hold this event every year with the help of the Clonberne Belarus Group.
As always this was a great success with over €1,800 raised on the day. The money was presented to Kenneth Finnegan by the students. Kenneth had just returned from his trip to Belarus on 28th March 2010 after completing a school upgrading project and helping families and other schools in need.Thank You

CHRISTMAS FAIR
The Clonberne National School Parents Association wish to thank all who helped with the Christmas Fair which was a great success. This was a family fun day with many attaractions including Santa, Cake Stalls, Farm Produce Stalls, Craft Stalls, Face Painting, Choir Singing, Raffle and much much more.

The Rural Transport Community Bus Service continues every Tuesday to Roscommon. Free to all travel pass holders. ?5 return to others. Pick up at Mahanagh at 10.00a.m.; Clonberne Community Centre at 10.05a.m.; via Lerhin and Kilkerrin Community Centre 10.20a.m. Leaving Roscommon at 2.00p.m. Please contact Willie Treacy 087 2803205 if you wish to travel.
Sponsored walk was held on Mission Sunday 23rd Oct 2011 in aid of the Somalia Fund. The walk was from Kilkerrin Community Centre to Clonberne Community Centre. Although it was a very wet day over 40 people walked. Refreshments were served in the Community Centre afterwards and Kevin Donlon spoke about his trip to Bangladesh.
