Clonberne Community Playground - NOW REOPENED WITH NEW GUIDELINES DURING COVID 19 PANDEMIC
Great work has been carried out in Clonberne All Inclusive Community Playground. €50,000 CLÁR Funding was granted during 2018 and with great help from Galway Co. Co., the Community Playground sub committee and the Community Employment Scheme the new Playground was opened in April 2019.
The Playground is specials needs and autism friendly and will be available to all children in Clonberne & Kilkerrin and surrounding areas.
Thanks to our contractors KOMPAN for their excellent work. We would also like to thank all those who helped with their financial contributions to assist us fund this project.

The NEW Gym structure is now in place behind the Community Enterprise Centre at the entrance to the Community Sportsground

MERAKI Hair Salon
Reopening on 30th June with new Guidelines during Covid 19Congratulations & Best Wishes to Stephanie who opened her new Hair Salon in Unit 3 on 2nd Feb 2019.
Clonberne Community Development held a MONSTER AUCTION in Clonberne Community Centre on Sun 28th April 2019 in the Community Centre.
All types of goods were on sale.
This Auction was organised to assist with funding for upcoming new development - THE ALL WEATHER PITCH - for which we have just been granted €69,400 from the Sports Capital Grant.
Thanks to the large group of volunteers who helped gather all the items, and were invaluable on the day. Thanks also to all our customers who came and purchased every single item we had.
A special thanks to all the companies and individuals who were very generous with their donations.
Strictly Come Dancing
Clonberne Community Development held their 1st STRICTLY COME DANCING event in the Shearwater Hotel Ballinasloe on 10th Nov 2018
This fundraiser was supported by the Mens and Ladies Football Clubs and was held to raise funds for the maintenance and running costs of the Community Sportsfield
16 couples took to the stage and after 10 weeks of grooming by their excellent dance instructor Maeve Mullins they certainly entertained a Full House of over 800 people.
Congratulations to the judges winners Anne Marie Boyle and Cathal Heverin, and to the audience winners Tina Fahy & Sean Hynes
The Show was such a HIT that a second night was held in Clonberne Community Centre on 1st Dec. Funds from this night were for the new Playground
Again this was a sell-out, with the dancers a brilliant performance by all 16 couples once again.

Kilkerrin / Clonberne Ladies Football Club Fashion Show with Special Guest Caroline Downey, TV3 Stylist, was a huge success with all having a great night. Caroline picked the best dressed in both Ladies and Men and gave style advice for the upcoming seasons.
Congrats to K/C Senior Ladies Management on winning the County Final (9th Sept 2017) for a historic 5 in a row. Well done and continued success.
Kilkerrin / Clonberne GAA History
Kilkerrin / Clonberne GAA launched their History Book "FIFTY GREEN FIELDS" in Clonberne Community Centre on 9th Sept 2017.
A great night was had by all with many guests on the night. Book now on sale in all local shops or from any committee member.
A huge thanks to all involved in the production of this fine book and memory stick, and also to all who organised the launch event. Thanks to all who came out and supported the launch.
Masters International Test Match - Ireland v Australia
On 19th Oct 2016 Clonberne Community Sportsfield was the venue for the first ever Masters International Aussie Rules Test Match. This was a great occasion with a large crowd in attendance. On the night Ireland were on top form beating Australia 104 - 21.
Irish TV will be showing a documentary in the near future which will include this match.
On 12th Nov 2016 Clonberne Community Sportsfield will again be the venue for the Master All Ireland Football Finals.
The Official launch and opening of UR Office was held in Unit 8 Clonberne Community Enterprise Centre on Friday 27th March 2015. This new business venture was launched by Mr. Declan Ganley.

This was a great success and a good day out.
A celebration to mark the conservation of the Dennis Mausoleum Clonberne was hosted by Clonberne Community Development and The Follies Trust in Clonberne Community Centre on 20th Oct 2011 at 12.15. The Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht Mr Jimmy Deenihan attended and launched the publication "Clonbern graveyard - its monuments & people".
Family Fun Day 2011
The Family Fun Day 2011 was held on June 5th in Clonberne Community Sportsground. All who attended had an enjoyable day with lots to see and do. This year 2 new events were added to the programme. These were the Dog Show and the Tug O War. These were well attended. The Novelty events, races and Team Building events were also very popular. Thanks to all who helped in any way and also those who attended on the day
Irish Rural Link National Award
Clonberne Community Development recently won 1st place in the Irish Rural Link "National Rural Award to Honour Contributions to Rural Community Development 2011". These awards aim to recognise the hard work, energy, enthusiasm and dedication given to improving and developing local communities around the country. Congratulations and well done to all involved and all those who have given of their time & efforts since the Committee was established.
Community Employment Scheme 2020
The Sponsors of the FÁS Community Employment Scheme (Clonberne Community Development) would like to thank all the participants who worked on the Scheme over the last year. We would also like to thank Martin, the supervisor, and the Committees in Kilkerrin & Clonberne for their assistance. Thanks to all the suppliers and locals who helped in any way. The 2011 Car Wash was held in the Clonberne Community Enterprise Centre Car Park on Sat 19th March from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Belarus Charity Car Wash 2011 - March 19th
The 2011 Car Wash was held in the Clonberne Community Enterprise Centre Car Park on Sat 19th March from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thanks to all who helped and those who had their cars washed. €845.00 raised on the day.
Thanks to all who helped in any way with last years Belarus Charity Car Wash on Sat 6th March at Clonberne Community Enterprise Centre. A special thanks to the Clonberne students in Transition Year in HRC Mountbellew who hold this event every year with the help of the Clonberne Belarus Group.
As always this was a great success with over €1,800 raised on the day. The money was presented to Kenneth Finnegan by the students. Kenneth had just returned from his trip to Belarus on 28th March 2010 after completing a school upgrading project and helping families and other schools in need.

The Clonberne National School Parents Association wish to thank all who helped with the Christmas Fair which was a great success. This was a family fun day with many attaractions including Santa, Cake Stalls, Farm Produce Stalls, Craft Stalls, Face Painting, Choir Singing, Raffle and much much more.Click here to see video of event

The Rural Transport Community Bus Service continues every Tuesday to Roscommon. Free to all travel pass holders. ?5 return to others. Pick up at Mahanagh at 10.00a.m.; Clonberne Community Centre at 10.05a.m.; via Lerhin and Kilkerrin Community Centre 10.20a.m. Leaving Roscommon at 2.00p.m. Please contact Willie Treacy 087 2803205 if you wish to travel.
Sponsored walk was held on Mission Sunday 23rd Oct 2011 in aid of the Somalia Fund. The walk was from Kilkerrin Community Centre to Clonberne Community Centre. Although it was a very wet day over 40 people walked. Refreshments were served in the Community Centre afterwards and Kevin Donlon spoke about his trip to Bangladesh. Thanks to all who helped.
KILKERRIN CLONBERNE CEANGAL MISSION FUND
Thanks to all who donated to our appeal for aid for the Haiti Disaster Fund. To date €6,250 has been donated.
The Thanksgiving Mass and get together was held on Tue Aug 2nd 2011 at 7.30p.m. in Clonberne Community Centre.
