Clonberne Community Development, Clonberne Tidy Towns, and some Parish Station Areas have come together to promote the Golden Mile Competition.
2 areas were identified and it was agreed to submit these 2 areas. The Lerhin Station area entered their village of Lerhin, which
they have been enhancing over the last few years. This area has a lot of history which includes the Castle, old school remains, a Ring Fort, etc.
The area around Cogaula Lake and Shantallow were entered as an area of Natural Beauty by the Community. This area abounds in natural beauty
with the lake, woodlands, bog, and lots of wild natural vegetation.
