Clonberne National School present Can Cruncher

Sarah Gormally (School Green Flag Committee) presenting a new Can Cruncher to John Kearney, Clonberne Community Development. Sarah won this in a recent competition and as the school has a "no cans" policy she decided to present it to the Community Development Committee for the Community Centre. Also in the picture is Ms Nancy Lyons who looks after the Green Flag Committee in the school.
Congratulations to Sarah on wining the prize and thanks for donating it to the Community. Well done to the school and all who work so hard on all Green issues there.

Clonberne National School helps Friends of the Children of Chernobyl

The children of Clonberne National School help The children in Schools in Belarus. On the return from Belarus of 6 local volunteers with The Friends of the Children of Belarus a cheque for €600.00 was presented by the schoolchildren to help their work. This money was gathered by the children from their pocket money. The volunteers visited the school and showed a slideshow of their work in schools in Belarus. There was a very interesting questions & answers session after the slideshow.
The Friends of the Children of Chernobyl would like to thank the children and their teachers for all their help.
