In order to enhance our parish, and highlight Village locations Clonberne Community Development decided to undertake a scheme to identify all villages within the parish boundaries, with the intention of erecting a stone sign in each village. A house to house collection was held to assist with funds.
It was also decided to erect larger signs on the approach roads into Clonberne, seven in total, and two large stones (one either side of the Village centre). All the signs have been erected with the assistance of the Community Employment Scheme.
It is hoped in the future to erect a tourist board in the Village Green, which will have a map showing all villages in the parish.
