Congratulations, you found us !

As you can see from the map, our school is situated in the bottom right of the county.

We are located in a little village called Gortroe. Gortroe is 5 kms. from the seaside town of Youghal.

Youghal is a scenic walled port situated on the main road from Rosslare to Cork, at the mouth of the River Blackwater. Youghal, pronounced ‘Yawl’, comes from the Gaelic word ‘Eochaill’ meaning yew wood.
The town abounds in historic gems and the original walls of the port can still be seen. The Clock Gate dates from 1777 and spans the main street. The mixture of old and new in the town is quite startling, with buildings such as St. Mary’s Collegiate Church dating from the eleventh century, and modern day buildings blending together in an eclectic mix.
Sir Walter Raleigh was the most famous citizen of Youghal. Responsible for bringing two things to Ireland - tobacco and the potato. The town is steeped in history. Do not leave without exploring the narrow lanes leading off the main street.
