Nature Walk

September 2002

In September Second to Sixth Classes decided to go on a Nature Walk bringing the digital camera. We went through various fields and found plants, trees and insects and took photos.

When we came back we split up into groups and divided out the plants, trees and insects. We looked up information about what we found. We made a project with the information and the photos. You can use the table below to go to each group’s project.

Nature Walk Scene

This is where we went on our nature walk. In the distance is the valley of the River Nore. This photo was taken on a nature walk that we did in the spring. There were still no leaves on the ash trees. The natives were very curious when they saw us all coming.

Some of the natives were not very impressed and they decided to make themselves scarce. We hadn't much chance of spotting hares or rabbits or hearing any song birds if we were making enough noise to frighten the cattle.
