Project Exhibition Night
"I wouldn't have missed it for a hundred pounds." - Tony Coady.
The old people around our area have given us all the information we needed for this project. They made this project what it really is, so we decided to do something in return for them. On the 2nd of December, we had an exhibition of our project and all the things that are illustrated in it. We had all the items lined out on the tables in our classroom to show the people, e.g. Dutch Churn; Bicycle Lamp; Old Sliotar; Dosing Horn; Sewing Machines; Old Roll Books and many other things.
Our grandparents and all the old people who gave us information for the project were there. We got a chance to talk to our friends' grandparents too. Lots of people came and it gave them a chance to meet and talk to each other. We showed them the project. They thought it was very good and we were pleased with their compliments. It was not only people who helped us with the project that came but many other people from our community turned up also.
We were given many more items and plenty of new information which helped us greatly in finishing the project. Young people came too, and had great fun. We met many people that we had never known. They were very pleased that we had made a record of life in our community in the past. Tony Coady said he would not have missed the night for a hundred pounds.
The project was divided into five folders so that the people could read the project. Many of the old people were very excited when they saw their names and what they had told us, written in the project. Afterwards, we got photographs of them reading the project and some of them demonstrating the implements. Everyone enjoyed the night which can be seen in the photographs we took.
We hope you enjoyed reading our project as much as we enjoyed writing it.

Together Again
These are some of the people who helped us with our project and who came along to our exhibition night. We could not have done the project without their help. They really enjoyed the evening looking at all the exhibits and having a good chat about old times.
