The
committee of Cloonfad Utd FC decided to distribute E5,000 of the jackpot
which had built up to over E10,000 immediately after Christmas if the
jackpot wasn't won by then. It so happened that the jackpot wasn't won
so on 2/1/05 a "lucky dip" draw was made whereby 5 envelopes
were drawn at random from all the entries in that nights lotto draw.
Each winner received E1,000 each and were presented with their winning
cheques the following week.
The five winners were: Dorothy Griffin (Cloonfad), Sean Jennings
(Culkeen), Darragh McDonnell (Gurteen), Shauna Fleming
(Lavallyroe), being held by PJ, Martin Kelly (Kiltevna) and club
treasurer David Kirrane. |
