PROPOSED
ST. PATRICK'S
DAY PARADE
It was decided t a meeting last Monday night to go ahead with
the St. Patrick’s Day parade this year. This is the first time that such an event is to be staged in
the village. A committee
has been set up to organise the day.
A meeting will take place on Monday night in the Community Centre
at 9pm – It would be good if all those involved and those who intend
to enter a float on the day could attend this meeting.
EVERGREEN TRUST
CLOTHING COLLECTION
The
Evergreen Trust has projects across Africa and in such Countries as
Zambia, Zanzibar and Tanzania. They
want to ease the burden of the disadvantaged by educating them to farm
their land and feed themselves. The
long-term objective is to ensure these people do not become dependant on
Western Aid by creating a culture of enterprise and trade.
So by supporting this “Clothing Collection Drive” you are
ensuring that work can continue, to help these projects.
The money raised through the “Clothing Collection Drive” will
go direct to the Evergreen Trust every month.
This “Clothing Collection Drive” is very important to the
Evergreen Trust in that it helps to raise awareness of the problems
facing the poor and disadvantaged in Africa.
So by supporting this “Clothing Collection Drive” you ensure
that the good work can continue in Africa for months, even years to
