PRAYER MEETING
Prayer group meet on Thursday night at 8.15pm in Community Centre.  MICHAEL GLAVEYS GAA
The AGM of the Michael Glavey's GAA club will take place on Sunday January 6th at 4pm in Granlahan Community Centre.  All members are asked to attend and new members are most welcome.
DAY CARE CENTRE
Day Care Centre returns on Wednesday January 9th at 12noon in community centre.  New members are most welcome.

FAILTE
We welcome Sam Maguire to Cloonfad on Sunday night.  A most welcome visitor to our area!

Prayer group meet on Thursday night at 8.15pm in Community Centre.  BLUNDERLAND PRODUCTIONS
Blunderland Productions would like to thank everyone who attended and supported their recent Pantomime in Griffins last week. €555 was collected and this money will be divided equally between Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation and the Cloonfad Branch of the Heart Foundation of Ireland. Many thanks - your support is greatly appreciated.

Every Monday at 8.30pm in the Hazel, Ballyhaunis.  Special offer to join in January.  All are welcome.
PRESENTATION BUFFET
Michael Glavey’s GAA club are holding a presentation night in Keanes on Friday 18th January.  Medals will be presented to the victorious Under 16 Boys and Under 16 Girls who won County titles and Minor Runners up medals.  Also Player of the Year awards.  Guests of honour are Roscommon Senior Caption, Fergal O’Donnell and Ladies Junior Manager P.J. Rabbitte.  Tickets are available from B.Cregg and C.McGuire.

PRAYER MEETING
Prayer group meet on Thursday night at 8.15pm in Community Centre.
AEROBICS
Aerobics & Toning by Noreen will take place in Egans Lounge on Tuesday nights from 8 to 9.30pm.  All fitness levels catered for.
COLLECTION
The Conquer Cancer Church Gate Collection will be taken up at all masses in the Tuam Diocese this weekend January 19 & 20.

There will be a meeting in the Community Centre on Wednesday night January 23rd at 8.30pm regarding the proposed holding of a St.Patricks Day parade in Cloonfad village this year.  It will depend completely on the amount of local support for this venture, as it is a major undertaking for the community if it is to be organised.  So it is up to the amount of support, good labour force and goodwill of the entire community if the idea of the parade is to go ahead.  All are welcome to voice your opinion on this matter at Wednesday night’s public meeting.

IRISH CANCER SOCIETY
The Irish Cancer Society would like to thank the collectors and everyone who gave so generously to their recent church gate collection. Amount collected €400.

PROPOSED ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE
Following a meeting during the week regarding the proposed holding of a St.Patrick's Day parade in Cloonfad village this year.  A decision on the holding of a parade was deferred until Monday January 28th.  A final decision on the proposed parade will be made at a public meeting in Cloonfad Community Centre on Monday January 28 at 9.00pm. It will depend completely on the amount of local support for this venture, as it is a major undertaking for the community.  So it is up to the amount of support, good labour force and goodwill of the entire community if the idea of the parade is to go ahead this year.  All are welcome to voice your opinion on this matter at Monday night’s public meeting.
AERO BICS

GMIT COURSE
A Four-year BA course in Theological Studies and Business Practice.  Graduates are eligible to qualify as Secondary Teachers of Religion, Accountancy, Business Organization and Economics, as well as being qualified to work in Parish Administration, Business and the Voluntary Sector.  The course is open to both mature students and to school leavers.  All those who wish to apply for the course need to make their application to the CAO by February 1 2002.  Further information can be had from Ms. Mary MacCague at GMIT 091 753161 or Eugene Duffy at the Western Theological Institute 091 581711.
