  NOVENA OF MASSES
The usual 9 Day Novena of Masses will be offered for the repose of the souls of the faithful departed from Saturday Nov 2nd until Sunday Nov 10th inclusive.

LITURGICAL ARTS & SPIRITUALITY COURSES
Open evening at Newman Institute Ireland intended for those who wish to explore the option of a two-year course in either Spirituality or Liturgical Arts.  Spirituality Evening: Friday 22 November 7-10pm.
Liturgical Evening: Friday 29 November 7-10pm.  Courses will run from Mid January 2003 on Friday nights with occasional Saturday.  Newman Institute Ireland, Salmon Weir, Ballina, Co.Mayo. Tel. 096 72066, Fax 096 73448.

ISPCC PARENTING CONFERENCE
“The Challenges of Modern Day Parenting” will discuss such topics as the Internet, Teenage Sexuality, Mobile Phones, Drugs and Alcohol.  Meeting will be held in the Travellers Friend Hotel at 7.30pm on Friday 15th November.  For further information contact ISPCC office in Castlebar 094 25254.

R.T.E. RADIO 1
A programme featuring people from around Cloonfad can be heard on RTE Radio 1. on Tuesday night at 8.30pm.  Programme is called “Up Your Street”.
R.T.E. TELEVISION
Amanda Howard, Culkeen will feature on ‘Winning Streak’ on R.T.E 1. on Saturday night at 8.30pm.  Amanda is wished the very best of luck from her neighbours and friends in Cloonfad.
RACE NIGHT
A race night in aid of the ‘Eamon Donnellan’ fund takes place on Friday November 22nd in Egan’s Lounge at 9.00pm.  Horses are on sale locally from members of the committee or any of the local shops.
CLOONFAD MAGAZINE COMMITTEE
A meeting will be held in the Community Centre on Monday night at 8.30pm.  All members are asked to attend.

CLOONFAD MAGAZINE 2002
The Cloonfad Magazine 2002 will be launched at mass next weekend November 30th and December 1st.  As usual it makes a very good gift for Xmas especially for people away from home.  We advise to buy early in order to post overseas in time for Christmas. The committee would sincerely like to thank the Patrons for their sponsorship as without them we would not be able produce the magazine.
CHRISTMAS BINGO
Christmas Bingo will be held on December 1st at 3pm in Dunmore Community School’s sports centre.  Monster raffle also on the day, lines can be bought from students, please support.
TUAM DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGES – 2003
Diocesan pilgrimage to Knock on Sunday May 4th.

FASHION SHOW
Lough Harps F.C. (Ballinlough) are holding a fashion show in the White House Hotel, Ballinlough on Friday November 29th starting at 8pm sharp.  Disco afterwards.
CITIZENS INFORMATION CENTRE
Mayo Citizens Information Service has four wheelchair accessible offices in the county i.e. Ballina, Belmullet, Castlebar, Claremorris, which provide information, advice, and advocacy, services on a wide range of topics.  They recently provided a disability outreach worker who has responsibility to people with disabilities.   This service is available to people in their own home where necessary.  Should you wish to avail of this service please contact Mary Farry Tel. 094 25544.
MICHAEL GLAVEYS DANCE
Annual dance will be held in Michael Glaveys Community Centre Ballinlough on Saturday 7th December.  Presentation to the 1970 and the 1972 teams on the night.  Tickets available from Sean Brennan and Brendan Cregg.
