Congratulations and best wishes to Delores Keane and Pat Donnellan married in St.Patricks Church, Cloonfad on Friday October 4th , and to Philomena Kirrane and Pauric Waldron married in St.Patricks Church on Saturday October 5th.  We wish them a lifetime of Health and Happiness.

CLOONFAD MAGAZINE 2002
Committee Meeting in Community Centre on Wed 9th at 8.30pm, and every Wednesday until cut-off date.   All members are asked to attend.
Closing date for receipt of articles and photographs will be Sunday 13th October 2002.  We would appreciate all organisation updates, articles, wedding and 21st birthday photographs, and photography cover competition entries as soon as possible.  Please hand in to O’Malleys or any member of the magazine committee.  The feature village this year is Cloonfad Upper.
CLOONARKIN ENVIRONMENTAL WALK
The Sunday Cloonarkin walk takes place every Sunday at 6pm assembling at the head of the Cloonarkin road. Please come along and enjoy this scenic walk and help to protect our environment.
AEROBICS
Aerobics & Toning by Noreen will take place in Egans Lounge on Thursday nights from 8 to 9.30pm.  All fitness levels catered for.
CLOONFAD F.C.
Premier Division
– Sunday October 6th.  Skyvalley Rovers –v- Cloonfad Utd in Taughmaconnell.  Kick off 2.30pm.  Division 1 – Cloonfad Utd ‘B’–v- Portumna Town in Cloonfad.  Kick off 2.30pm.
Well Done ! to Cloonfad Utd U-14 side on winning the Roscommon Premier Division title last weekend.
IRISH CANCER SOCIETY
The Irish Cancer Society in association with research to recovery, is holding a breast cancer information day in the Corrib Great Southern Hotel, Galway on Saturday October 12th from 11am until 3pm.

There is a problem with the Archives section in this site.  It is currently unavailable due to a problem with the host server, XUG.NET.  Unfortunately this is outside my control and am not in a position to complain since the service provided by this server is free.  If this situation continues I will seek a new host server, which tenders it services free and will register there.

BLUNDERLAND PRODUCTIONS
Meeting on Wednesday 16th at 9p.m. in the Griffin Inn to discuss this years Childrens Pantomime.  Anybody interested would be most welcome.

Fr.Liam Lawton in concert in Knock on Saturday 19th October.  Tickets from Knock Shrine.
THANKS
The Wife and Family of the late William Ginty would like to express there thanks for all the kindness and support, and for all the Mass cards and flowers received from neighbours and friends in Cloonfad.  Our grateful thanks also to Fr.Tom Commins for his help and support.  A Mass will be held for their intentions at St.Patricks Church, Cloonfad.
PUBLIC MEETING
A public meeting will be held in the community centre on Monday night next at 9pm to lend support for Eamon Donnellan.  All concerned please attend.
SCHOOL PLAYING FIELD CLOSED
The school playing field is closed until next Summer.  Please refrain from walking on it until then.

The free Eamonn Donnellan Account is now open in Bank of Ireland, Ballyhaunis (A/C# 82425538) for anyone wishing to make a donation.  Funds will be used to assist with legal costs incurred

HALLOWEEN DISCO
A Children’s Halloween Disco will be held in the Community Centre on Friday 25th October from 6pm to 8.30pm.  All children welcome.

NOVENA OF MASSES
The usual 9 Day Novena of Masses will be offered for the repose of the souls of the faithful departed from Saturday Nov 2nd until Sunday Nov 10th inclusive.

NEWMAN INSTITUTE IRELAND
Open evening for those who wish to explore the option of a two-year course in either Spirituality or Liturgical Arts on Friday November 29th from 7-10pm.  Courses will run from Mid Janury 2003 on Friday nights with occasional Saturdays.  Newman Institute Ireland, Salmon Weir, Ballina, Co. CAO CONFERENCE
CAO Conference 2002 will be held in the Ballyhaunis Community School on Tuesday 5th November 7-9pm.  The majority of CAO Colleges, including all universities will be in attendance.  Students, Parents and anyone else with an interest in 3rd level courses are invited to attend.
