Clostoken Church

Clostoken church was built in 1842 by a priest called Fr. Macklin. Clostoken church is called the church of the Holy Family. It was renovated in the mid forties and a Connemara marble altar was erected. Again in the mid sixities, the walls were slabbed and replastered. When the mass was changed from Latin to English, the altar was changed, so as the priest could face the people.

Mrs.Studd from St.Clearans donated the confessional box, which is still in the church. It was made by the late Willie Glynn from Mannin.
