Dunsandle House

Dunsandle House is in ruins now. The area in which it is situated is named after it. It is situated near St.Joseph's National School in Carrabane. When it was standing, it was a splendid Georgian manor house surrounded by a big estate and forest. It was a much larger house than St.Clearans House when it was standing.

In the early nineteenth century a landlord called Daly owned Dunsandle House. It was also cursed. People say the went like this"Devil Damn Denis Daly Dunsandle Demon". Years ago the land commission knocked parts of Dunsandle House and sold all the valuables parts of the house. They divided the land of the estate between the local farmers.
