The Old Garda Barracks

There is a Garda Barracks in Bookeen. It has not been in use for the past 20 years by the Gardai. It was then used as a private dwelling but mow it is a derelict house.

In the 1920's there was a barracks at Riverville which was occupied by the Peeler's during the Black and Tan war. It was burned to the ground at that time by the volunteers.
