The Quaker Hall

Now strains of music fill the air where once good men in duty bound
Engaged in works of love and prayer in service of the poor around
Now we hear the Brass and Reed
Where good men once gave careful thought
How best to care and clothe and feed
Their brothers whom their help had sought
Now Music playing Sacred Hymn in common purpose with those men
Whose minds were raised in praise of Him
Love echoes still as it did then.
Now within these walls a band in space where kindly souls did rest
to contemplate with head and hand how they could serve God's people best.
Now young musicians fill this place
Strong in hope and prayer and faith,
Where men sowed seeds of
Peace and Grace
in times of want and famine great.
Now in the music of the band
Their dreams have found a space to be
As in the Quaker Hall we stand
Our hearts light, Their spirits free.
