The Bantry region is divided into three regions: The Beara Peninsula, The Sheeps Head Peninsula and The Mizen Peninsula.

- The main airport feeding
this region is at Cork (90k) or one hour's drive. Shannon Airport
is about a three hour drive.
- The main ferryports are at Cork
Harbour (1.5 hours from Bantry) and Rosslare (4 hours drive)
- Cork City is served by a mainline
rail terminal. There is no train connection to Bantry. There
is a regular bus service from Cork (Bus Aras) at Parnell Place,
with a special express service during the summer months,
connecting to Kenmare and Killarney. Car rental and
taxi services are available locally.
Arriving from Cork: Take the N71 to Glengarriff. At town outskirts turn right at the junction after "Quik Pick" shop.
Take the first left and keep left, house is at the top of the road.
Arriving from Kerry: Take N71 to Bantry, just before Quik Pick turn left, take next turn left and left again. House at the top of the road.
