The Coach House complex consists of The
Farm House, the Cottage and the Coach House enclosing a peaceful courtyard. Both the
Farm House and Cottage were built in the mid eighteenth century, while the Coach House is
a more recent addition from the late nineteenth century. The Coach House and Cottage
are both available for Summer letting. Situated just 10 miles from Cork city with a view overlooking the islands of Cork harbour, the Coach House is within easy access to all amenities while providing a completely peaceful, rural setting to help you relax and unwind.
Surrounded by fields, the gardens host many singbirds and are visited by rabbits and the occasional fox or badger. The erstwhile lawn has been left uncut and now provides an oasis for a wide variety of wild flowers (hey, it's the best excuse to avoid mowing I know).
The Coach House is high enough on the hill to provide a panoramic view of Cork harbour, including Barryscourt Castle, the fields of Great island and the trees of the secluded Fota island. |
