Coastline Imaging Systems was established in 1992.  The first customer application is still in use to this day.  Coastline Cutter, the company's flagship application was first shown to the public at AIIM in New York City in 1994.  Cutter has been hugely extended since 1994. Coastline ImPrint was first released in 1995 and is still being extended.  There are now four products in the Cutter product range.

Coastline's main customer groups are: technical and commercial.

Technical applications range from high speed technical manual revision to map archiving with special printing.

Commercial applications range from forms processing with on-line image editing to image archiving and retrieval.
