School Musical in 2008 shows the talent of the students

To put on a musical show is a challenge but each year students and teachers at Carrignafoy Community College do just that. Rehearsals start early in the year with Producer, Teacher, Ms L. O'Driscoll and occur after school. It also includes students from local primary schools. Next year for 2009, students are already in rehearsal for 'High School Musical'. See you there.

Carrignafoy Community College are award the 'Green School Award'

In September all the teachers from Cobh Community College were addressed in a seminar. This was done to create awareness with all teaching personnel about the Green Schools programme, and to establish support for their Green-Schools co-ordinator, Maura Ni Bhuachalla. It was also decided that they would get together with Colaiste Muire and organise a clean-up with students in the town to raise awareness on litter. With great co-operation from the local tidy towns committee and the town council they got approximately 50 students to do a big clean-up along the front of the town. Both schools hope to be able to do more of these types of clean-ups in the future.

Students participating in a Self-Esteem Programme organised each year for 1st year students.
