Following a few short weeks of
frantic work and huge support from many we are delighted to announce the
official opening of the cineclub. All are welcome to the evening.
The opening will take place in The Parochial Hall, Step Road, Cloughjordan at
7:30pm followed by the screening of The Station Agent at 8:00pm [click

Enjoy the full surround sound and wide screen experience. The screen is a full
3m X 4m - that is almost 150 sq ft of screen! Bring your own popcorn and cola!
It is a historic moment in Cloughjordan. It has been 44 years since a film has
been screened in the Parochial Hall. The last film shown in the hall was the
classic western "Shane" in 1961. If you have any stories or memories about this
last picture please contact us with them and we will post them.
We are looking forward to meeting you all and sharing your stories about the old
travelling cinema in Cloughjordan.
All are welcome to the hall. Early arrival is advised as spaces are limited.
Admission to the film is €5.00 There is no need to be a member to view this
film.
Membership forms will be available on the night for the forthcoming season.
