Kells Courthouse The Irish architect Francis Johnston, who also designed the General Post Office, designed the courthouse, built in 1801, and Nelsons Pillar in Dublin. The building has now being refurbished ,and is now the Heritage Centre, within which is a copy of the Book of Kells, Audio Visual, various relics from the 6th -12th century and a reconstructed model of the monastery as it may have been.
