St Columcille's House
St Columcille/St Columba`s House. This early church is similar in construction to St Kevin’s Kitchen in Glendalough, Co Wicklow, of the 10th century. It has a rectangular shape and an east/west orientation with a window over the eastern altar and a doorway to the west, the roof is barrel vaulted with three small chambers in the roof space. Local lore has it that a souterrain (tunnel) runs from the house to St. Colmcille Church.
