The core module has a 20MHz processor running the CoraData operating system, a Real Time Clock and non-volatile memory for programme and data storage.

There are two serial ports (one for PC connection and the other for modems) plus the LAN I/O.

Where required a graphic LCD screen and keypad can be connected to provide a local GUI (Graphical User Interface).
