The Cork 20 International Rally will take place over the weekend of October 7-8, 2000.    It is the Final Rounds of the Toshiba Computers Irish Tarmac and   Yokohama Southern 4 and Ford Ka Championships & the Penultimate Round of the Toshiba Computers Historic Rally Championship .   

This year's format not only encompasses tough competitive good smooth special tarmac stages over two days, but also good competitor value, good fun with strong emphasis on the social aspect of the weekend, in a city where charm, humour and hospitality are part of our tradition,

The length of the Rally including non-competitive sections will be approximately 374 miles/598 kms, including 8 special stages of circa. 191mls./306kms. and is divided into 2 legs.   The first leg on Saturday, October 7 will take place in the Mitchelstown area and the second leg on Sunday, October 8 will run in the Macroom/Millstreet region.

Homologated cars complying with Appendix J of the International Sporting Code Group A and N cars\ Formula 2  are eligible as follows: Group N and Group A; also modified cars, prototypes and standard production cars.   Turbo charged cars must run with a 34mm restrictor or a 32mm restrictor if in Group N.   Specific details can be found in the Event Regulations.

Pace notes are permitted and crews will be allowed to make low speed recees on special stages, subject to some conditions, set out in Regulations Article 27.
