Black and Tans Ambushed At Castletownroche
A large force of volunteers from the Second Cork Brigade ambushed a seven man RIC patrol near Castletownroche village in March, 1921, killing one and wounding a number of others.
The dead man was twenty three year old William Elton, from Middlesex.
