PADI Rescue Diver
PADI rescue Diver is a highly rewarding course designed to build your confidence and allow you to become a dependable diver, able to recognise and prevent potentially dangerous situations. It is an important step in expanding your knowledge and experience as a diver.
The course is run over 5 weeks, one night a week is spent in video, theory and pool sessions. This is followed by 3 days in open water training. Topics covered include: accident management, diving first aid and missing diver procedures. Participants will also learn how to surface, tow and resuscitate an unconscious diver as well as how to deal with panicked divers.
A first aid qualification (which must include CPR) is a requirement for this course. A 1-day medic first aid course is available at Cork Dive Centre.

PADI Divemaster
This challenging course is the first step towards a leadership rating and becoming a PADI Instructor. However, the course is not only for those who wish to make a career out of diving.Divemaster is ideal for those who wish to achieve recognition for their diving skills, knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport.
To commence the course, participants (over 18's only) are required to have successfully completed Rescue Diver training and have logged a minimum of 20 dives. PADI Divemaster is designed to expand your knowledge and bring your diving skills to a professional teaching level. In internship sessions, you'll work closely with a PADI instructor and become involved in assisting the instructor teach various courses, including planning and supervising dive activities and assisting with student training.The participant must have 60 logged dives by the end of their Divemaster training with experience in night, deep and navigation diving. Upon completion, your certification will entitle you to PADI membership and enable you to:
—Act as certified instructional assistant to PADI Instructors.
—Supervise participants in PADI experience programs for uncertified divers.
—Supervise both training and non-training related diving activities by planning.
  organising and directing dives.
—Conduct the PADI Scuba Review program for certified divers.
—Enroll in PADI Instructor level training.
The course cost includes instruction, internship, air fills, pool time, the Divemaster training package and workbook. Extras are PADI membership fee, equipment hire (if required) and dives.
