Profile: Anto The Element (Drums) Name: Antony Weston DOB: 31-01-78 Favourite Bands: Mostly bands with faster, more aggressive stuff like PANTERA... SLAYER... FEAR FACTORY... PISSING RAZORS... all brilliant drummers. It's real rhythm, but it's fast and aggressive as well. Why CORRUPTED??? Myself Morgan and Emmet started the band originally. I got into the drums because a friend of mine left his kit in my house and I was basically playing away on my own to the likes of GUNS & ROSES. I couldn't put two beats together, but trying anyway! Eventually I got into it a bit more seriously... just kept practicing and started going somewhere with it.

Where do you see CORRUPTED in the future? I'd love to do music full time. For the amount of work all of us put in I want to see us going somewhere so I'm hoping that as we're all dedicated and always in practising that it'll pay off. In five years time... maybe touring around America with a couple of albums behind us... Maybe an Ozzfest or two.

Your first gig with the band... Who fucked up? I think it was in the Gasworks. We all fucked up, probably. When you become a bit more recognised and you fuck up it's worse than when no-body knows you at the start.

What do you do when you're not hanging outwith the band? I actually spend most of my time with the band. We're all like brothers, basically. We look out for each other and if anything needs to be done for anybody else we try our best to do it.

Have you noticed the band following increasing? Yeah, definitely, especially since we came to BLAST. It used to be just the older guys that we'd be hanging out with, ourselves and friends and family. The youngsters wouldn't have been able to get into the over-age gigs anyhow so it's great that we're playing BLAST. They get to see us now. Hopefully, they'll grow up listening to CORRUPTED the way I did listening to METALLICA.

Where or with whom would you most like to play? I'd love to play all around the world... The band I'd most like to play with is definitely PANTERA.... and the likes of FEAR FACTORY or SLAYER, but most definitely PANTERA.

When you make the first million, what do you reckon Antony Weston will be doing with it? I wouldn't be investing it anyway... I'd probably buy a new drumkit and stuff to go with it. Treat the lads out and everybody that stuck by us so far.

And in the meatime, if you won on the Lotto? We'd have better equipment and flight cases and stuff like that. We'd have a van and be able to travel around in it... saving us loads of money on taxis...
