State of the art 3D design gives you the almost limitless choice to create the conservatory of your dreams. Once you have decided on the design your choices don't stop there.

Consider the finish you want to complement your home. A wood grain foil finish for a more traditional look or a white finish for a more contemporary one. You can even combine the wood grain foil on the outside and the white on the inside. The choice is yours.

Finally consider how best to create a room for all seasons, a room that can give pleasure by day and night.

Manual or automatic ventilation solutions provide climate control and a room that can be used all year round. Discreet downlighters or fans with integral lights all give you options to make a room that can be used at all times of day.

When considering the use of your conservatory it would be useful to bear the following points in mind.

If facing North good insulation and heating will be required.

If facing South additional ventilation and shading may be required. If sunglare is felt to be an issue conservatories can be fitted with roof blinds or shaded polycarbonate.

An East facing room makes an ideal breakfast area benefiting from the early morning sun.

West facing conservatories are ideal for making the most of the afternoon and evening sunshine.

For correct ventilation conservatories should have at least 15% of their floor space given to opening windows, doors and roof ventilation.

Rigorous tests have proved that the conservatories provided by Cosy Conservatories should withstand over 25 years wear and tear in typical weather conditions.

Such an onslaught from the elements requires a tough approach to both the design and materials of your conservatory. All or our systems have been produced to meet these exacting requirements, and have been designed in accordance with all relevant standards and codes of practice.

Each roof is designed to withstand minimum snow loads equivalent to 75kg per metre uniformly distributed and 91kg per metre concentrated on a roof.

All roofs have been engineered to be structurally sound and watertight when subjected to severe gusts of wind between 83 and 125mph.

The conservatory roof is constructed in aluminium that is then clad in PVC-U. All the aluminium has been tested in terms of strength, stability, density and durability.

The conservatory roof system used by Cosy Conservatories has gained approval from the British Board of Agreement which incorporates not only the material used, but also the manufacturing process and installation advice.
