Rigorous tests have proved that the conservatories provided by Cosy Conservatories should
withstand over 25 years wear and tear in typical weather conditions.
Such an onslaught from the elements requires a tough approach to both the design and materials
of your conservatory. All or our systems have been produced to meet these exacting requirements,
and have been designed in accordance with all relevant standards and codes of practice.
Each roof is designed to withstand minimum snow loads equivalent to 75kg per metre uniformly
distributed and 91kg per metre concentrated on a roof.
All roofs have been engineered to be structurally sound and watertight when subjected to
severe gusts of wind between 83 and 125mph.
The conservatory roof is constructed in aluminium that is then clad in PVC-U. All the aluminium
has been tested in terms of strength, stability, density and durability.
The conservatory
roof system used by Cosy Conservatories has gained approval from the British Board of Agreement
which incorporates not only the material used, but also the manufacturing process and installation
advice.
