Well in excess of one hundred thousand people (many of them school children) have perished in the earthquake, with at least as many more, seriously injured. Millions of people are now threatened with death from exposure as temperatures plummet to the winter norm of below minus-ten degrees Celsius with snows six to ten feet deep. There is an absolutely urgent need for supplies of insulated weatherproof tents, blankets and warm winter clothing, medical supplies, food and provisions. |

28 December 2005 Sean Browne and Mohammad Khalid left Ireland for Pakistan. They will be there until the 8th of January. During their visit they will have contact with N.G.O.'s and will gather information about projects etc. 30 November 2005 A Civic Reception took place in Navan Town Hall to mark the launch of our orginisation. This was followed by a fund rasing dinner which was hosted by Mohammad Khalid in the Shahi Tandoori Restauant in Navan Co. Meath. Both events were attended by the Ambassador of Pakistan. |
