Band and Majorettes

History of Band:

Shortly after the school band was formed a troupe of high-stepping majorettes was trained. Clad in a striking green, white and yellow costume, majorettes -  usually selected from pupils in Fifth and Sixth classes - accompany the band in St. Patrick's Day Parades and at the Fleadh Nua in Ennis every year. They are frequently called upon to provide colour and entertainment at many other functions.

School Year 2004/2005:

Congratulations to Sr.Stephanie and Ms Lynch on another successful year. This year we travelled to Cork on St. Patrick's Day as it is the City of Culture for 2005. We also took part in the Fleadh Nua in Ennis. The band collaborated with Mr. Matt Dillon and the CBS Band in recording a CD about Nenagh. As usual, Sr. Stephanie held her musical walk around Nenagh in early June. This walk is a much needed fundraiser which enables Sr. Stephanie to supply band and majorette uniforms, musical instruments, pay for buses and of course food for all the pupils involved after a long day away.

Sr. Stephanie would like to thank everybody who contributed. This support she receives from the people of the town every year is greatly appreciated.
