The best six slogans will be made into signs that will be displayed around the school. We also carried out further litter and waste surveys to ascertain how el we are doing and what further action we can take. One of these, for example, was a lunch-box survey which revealed that the students wash, squash and recycle a massive 420 tetra-paks per week.
We need to look at ways this number can be reduced. The survey showed that we bring 1060 plastic bottles and 165 'Capri-sun' packs in our lunch-boxes every week. These, of course, are containers that can be re-used or reduced. So there is much work ahead for us to do. It will be the Green-School Committee's task to come up with and Action Plan (using the results of the surveys), which with everyone's co-operation and effort will make our school even more environmentally friendly and eventually enable us to be awarded the Green-School flag. What did we do?
