Sports 2004 - 2005
Basketball:
Our school basketball team retained the Credit Union Cup with a convincing win over Carrig N.S. in the Final.
The Team: Mary-Clare Collins, Amy Coffey, Sinéad Kavanagh, Emma Kellett, Amy Kennedy, Áine Lucey, Lisa Maher, Melissa Molloy, Áine O'Carroll, Rebecca O;Connor, Elizabeth Powell and Brenda Sullivan.
Soccer:
The soccer squad travelled to Coonagh, Co. Limerick for the Ribena / F.A.I. 5-a-side Munster Finals in Limerick finishing as runners-up in this section.
The school team were Elizabeth Powell, Roseanne Rechner, Áine O'Halloran, Melissa Molloy, Sinéad Kavanagh, Amy Kennedy, Áine O'Carroll and Lisa Maher.
Camogie:
The camogie team, for the third year in a row, reached the county finals after defeating Portroe N.S. and Templemore N.S. on the way. The Final was held in Semple Stadium, Thurles on June 9th. This year our team were victorious for the second time when they beat Knockavilla Kickhams 2-04 to Nil. The Camogie Panel were: Áine Lucey, Stephanie Browne, Áine O'Carroll, Amy Kennedy, Amy Coffey, Áine O'Halloran, Katherine Delee, Vanessa Grace, Brenda O'Sullivan,Laura McKenna, Claire Mahoney, Elizabeth Powell, Sinéad Kavanagh, Lisa Maher, Deirdre Gleeson, Emma Kellett, Sorcha Dodd, Mary-Clare Collins, Rebecca O'Connor, Mary Bourke, Rebecca White, Cathy Prenderville, Sophie Carroll and Ciara McGrath. The team are seen below with Tommy Mulcahy, Fiona Murnane, Breda Duggan and Suzanne Kelly.
Congratulations to all the girls involved with the various teams for taking part over the year. Also thanks to the supporters at the matches.
