Fanore
sits on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean about 8 miles west of Ballyvaughan
and 4 miles south of Black Head, the most northerly point of County
Clare. It is famous for its golden sandy beach and weathered limestone
plateaus sloping down to the Atlantic coastline.
