History

Scoil Chríost Rí was established in 1978 to meet the educational needs of the Ennis area. Over the years it has developed into a large modern Primary School. The educational facilities in the school are monitored continuously to ensure that they are in line with recent developments in education.

Aims and Ethos

It is the aim of Scoil Chríost Rí to help each child to reach his/her full potential as an individual in an atmosphere of peace and harmony. Due emphasis is given to religious instruction and practice, academic development, access to modern computer equipment, social development and physical development through sport and exercise. We hope to ensure that the time spent by our pupils in Scoil Chríost Rí will be some of the happiest in their lives.

Code of Behaviour

We believe that the education process should take place within an environment where there is a positive code of discipline. Pupils will at all times be expected to behave in a proper and respectful manner towards their fellow pupils and their teachers. We hope that this will allow both pupils and teachers to work together in mutual respect.

Role of Parents

Parents play a central role in the education process. This role is very much encouraged in Scoil Chríost Rí by developing regular contact between the school and parents. The Scoil Chríost Rí Development Association which works in the interests of the school provides a positive forum for parents. All parents are invited annually to become involved.
