Crusheen survive late surge by Knockanean

        Crusheen 3-8     Knockanean 2-2 (Roslevan 14/11/00)

     The boys got off to a great start in the Div. 3  final with points by Cian, Blaine and Fergus before Ciarán O’Doherty blasted to the net in the 10th min. Further points by Cian, Blaine and Ciarán left the half-time score 1-6 to 0-0. Knockanean began the second half with a point but Cian (0-1) and Blaine (1-1) replied for us before Knockanean had a point and two excellent goals. Cian then had a goal in the dying secs. Team: T. After the game Blaine accepted the trophy on behalf of the team and thanked teacher, parents, supporters and Knockanean.

Girls Div.1 Semi-final

Crusheen 2-7 Tulla 0-1

Despite the seemingly one-sided scoreline this was no easy game for us. The Tulla girls, some of whom play with the Crusheen Club, battled right to the finish. Craft

Shona McGillivray has finished her stint with us as part of the Artist in Schools scheme. On Tuesday last she helped infants and first class make necklaces from polyform clay. They were beautiful.

 

Confirmation

Meeting for parents/guardians of Confirmation Class with Fr. Pat Larkin – Mon. night at 8.30 in the school. Confirmation Enrolment ceremony on Sat. night, Nov. 25th during 7.30 Mass.

 

4th and 5th classes are collecting stamps and they are asking parents to send in stamps with their children so they can add to their collection for the missions.
