Ho Ho There
was great excitement today when Santa payed a visit to the Playschool and to
Miss Brady’s class. Santa had presents for all the children and he said
afterwards that he was delighted the children had been so good all year. Well
done Santa and well done children. Bishop's
Visit Bishop
Walshe visited yesterday. First there was Mass in the church at 10. The school
choir sang and the band played during Mass. When he came to the school he
visited all the classes. Each class did part of their concert item for him and
he had great fun. He asked Mr. Kearney’s class to guess his age. He gave them
a clue– he taught Mr. Kearney. They said he must be really old so! Afterwards
he had lunch with staff, Board of Management and Parents’ Assoc. Letters
from Africa Mrs.
Kearney’s class were busy raising money for their pen-pals in Zambia today.
They had three games. 1. Guess how many sweets in the box. 2. Guess the baby’s
name. 3. Guess Santa’s second name – not Claus this time. Each game was 10p. |
