Places to go
These are places some of our members have found useful
to go with children - however, it does not imply that Cuidiu DNE endorses
them.
Playgrounds
- St. Anne's Park, Clontarf (playground just off Mount
Prospect Ave, just down from Rose garden. Deep into rest of park may
be quite isolated during weekdays).
- St. Albert's Park, next to DCU (playground segregated
into younger and older children, and also has rubber surface for damp
days)
- Fairview Park
- Griffith Park, Drumcondra
- Newbridge House & Farm & playground (also
good for summer picnics)
- Malahide Castle & playground
- Ardgillan
Castle, just off the
M1 past Donabate turnoff, has an outdoor adventure playground

- Newgrange
Farm
- Botanic Gardens (has parking, a coffee shop/restaurant,
plenty of room to walk and climb trees, and Griffith Park is about
5 mins drive away)

Ennis Centre, Naul, North Co. Dublin sometimes has events for children
- Dublin
City Council's services including a information on parks with
playgrounds, and a section for children with good website links
