Benefits of a DaiGon system
DaiGon Geothermal underfloor
heating - The Facts
- The heating effect is
concentrated in the occupied zone, not in the ceiling area.
- A major component of the
heating effect is radient which feels particularly comfortable.
- It is quiet, efficient
and brings lower energy bills.
- It gives room by room
temperature control and can be used under a wide variety of flooring
including carpet, wood, stone and PVC.
- It is completely discrete
and gives more usuable space (no wall space is required unlike radiators).
- The heating effect is
evenly distributed across the floor area with no cold spots.
- All pipe circuits are
checked for integrity by being pressure tested prior to and during the
laying of the floor usually a sand / cement screed.
- Pipes are located well
below the floor surface so that they don't normally interfere with normal
screw fixings. Site drawings should be checked for safe drilling depth.
- Most heat sources can
be chosen to run DaiGon UFH and it can be incorporated into almost
any existing system easily. As the system has low return water temperatures,
it lends itself to the latest condensing boiler technology.
- Insulation is used to
eliminate downward heat loss, while the whole floor dissipates heat
evenly to occupied areas.
- A wide choice of suitable
floor finishes can be used.
- Due to the low system
temperatures, the floor is never hot, just warm to the touch.
- System control options
ranging from weather compensation to more simplified thermostats can
be incorporated into the design requirements of any project.
