E-MAIL CLIENTS AND NORTON ANTI-VIRUS

 
If a customer has in their mail server addresses, 127.0.0.1 (i.e. the IP address of their computer), or pop3.nortonantivirus.com and the pop3 server is part of the account id,
it is more than likely that they have antivirus protection configured on their mail client...

Here's how to disable it.

(By the way, the images here are for Norton AntiVirus 2000, but the screens and procedures are almost identical for NAV 2001.)

Go to Start -> Programs -> Norton Anti-Virus -> Norton AntiVirus 2000... then this screen....

Choose Options at the top.....

....E-mail Protection....

Take the tick out of "Enable e-mail protection (recommended)" and OK
