St Brigid's School Clondalkin 1) To ask the Minister for Education and Science the extent to which extra facilities have been determined to be a requirement for St Brigid’s School, Clondalkin; the progress in relation to addressing these needs in the past 12 months; and if he will make a statement on the matter. For WRITTEN answer on Thursday, 14th November, 2002. Minister for Education and Science (Mr Noel Dempsey, T.D.) My Department has approved in principle the preparation of Stage 4|5 (Detail Design|Bill of Quantities) submission in respect of a proposed new school for Coláiste Bríde, Clondalkin, Dublin 22. However, the Post Primary Building Unit has advised the school authorities to appeal a number of conditions in the Planning Permission recently granted by South Dublin County Council in respect of the project. My Department will not be in a position to formally approve the Stage 4|5 submission until the outcome of the appeal to An Bord Pleanála is known.
2)To ask the Minister for Education and Science the extent to which extra facilities have been determined to be a requirement for Bawnogue National School, Clondalkin; the progress in relation to addressing these needs in the past 12 months, on a monthly basis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. For WRITTEN answer on Thursday, 14th November 2002 Minister for Education and Science (Noel Dempsey T.D.,) My Department’s Building Unit has recently received an application from Bawnogue National School, Clondalkin for electrical upgrading works. My Department has an extensive primary school building programme underway at present, details of which are available on my Department’s website. In view of the extensive nature of the programme, my Department has no plans at present to start architectural planning for further major primary school building projects. However, the situation will be kept under review. |
