I am
the Green Party Candidate for North Kerry. I am married with 5 children;
I work as an Instructor in a training centre for adults with an intellectual
disability in Listowel. I also work part time with a youth diversion project
with the Kerry Diocesan Youth Service I have been very active in many areas,
including:
Founder member of Fairtrade Tralee.Founder member of GMfree Kerry,
I have campaigned for rights and funding for adults and children with an
intellectual disability, an end to drift netting of Salmon, dropping the
excise on bio fuels,highlighting illegal dumping, as well as being the Green
Party's spokesperson and representative for North Kerry.
There
are many other areas which I am passionate about such as investment in
crime prevention, increased community policing,zero tolerance for pollution
and illegal dumping,
Animal welfare protection with higher penalties for Animal cruelty, the
implementation of the green ban on fur farming,
an end to drift net fishing,stiffer sentences for white collar crime (including
brown envelope politicians)!
